Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer to support construction contract administration from the NY Project Office. The ARE will work closely with the Resident Engineer and Construction Manager to ensure contract compliance and timely project delivery.

Key duties include maintaining contract drawings, directing field inspection staff, coordinating meetings, and tracking PMIS data. U.S. Citizenship is required; OSHA 10-hour and water/wastewater experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• BA/BS plus 6 years of related experience or equivalent education.
• OSHA 10-hour Construction Health and Safety training is required.
• Experience in water and wastewater process engineering is preferred.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Resident Engineer in project responsibilities.
• Maintain contract drawings and reflect field revisions.
• Direct field inspection staff and review Daily Inspection Reports.
• Attend Contractor coordination meetings and coordinate with CM/DSDC staff.
• Ensure T&M records and progress reporting are up to date.
• Communicate issues to CM/RE and propose corrective actions.
• Coordinate staging and field operations to meet schedules.
• Prepare communications to NYCDEP and participate in status meetings.
• Track PMIS data in e-builder and maintain related logs.

Education

BA/BS + 6 years related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

OSHA 10-hour Construction Health and Safety Course

Experience in water and wastewater process engineering

US Citizenship required
