Job summary

McShane Construction Company is seeking an Assistant Project Superintendent to help manage on-site operations on building projects. You’ll support supervision, coordinate subcontractors, enforce safety protocols, and help keep schedules and budgets on track.

The role requires hands-on site leadership, strong communication, and proficiency with construction management software, with flexibility for varying hours to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in Construction Management.
• Ability to effectively communicate with clients, design consultants and trade partners.
• Proficiency with construction management software including Salus, PlanGrid and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in overseeing daily construction site operations and activities.
• Coordinate and monitor subcontractor and supplier performance to ensure compliance with project specifications and schedules.
• Enforce safety protocols and company policies to maintain a secure work environment.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work quality and adherence to plans.
• Support the Project Superintendent in meetings, logs, and documenting progress.
• Facilitate timely delivery and storage of materials, tools, and equipment.
• Identify and report potential issues to the Project Superintendent promptly.
• Develop quality control lists in construction management software and Microsoft Office.
