Job summary

TAPP Workforce Solutions is partnering with a manufacturing client in Sallisaw, OK to hire an Assembly Process Engineer responsible for designing, optimizing and maintaining high-efficiency assembly systems on the plant floor.

You will reduce downtime, scrap and waste by applying Lean and Six Sigma, leading continuous improvement, mentoring operators and coordinating with Design, Quality and Maintenance to ensure safe, reliable production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in assembly process engineering.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement.
• CAD proficiency for layout adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Design and refine assembly workflows, including automation and tests.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma to line layout and throughput.
• Specify and integrate tooling, machinery and automation; oversee installation.
• Monitor quality metrics, perform root-cause analysis with Quality.
• Provide hands-on plant floor support to resolve breakdowns.
• Write SOPs, setup sheets and PFMEAs; drive 5S and line standardization.
• Train operators and technicians on new work instructions.
• Collaborate on DFM handoffs with Design Engineering.
• Enforce safety standards and ergonomic tooling.
