Purple Communications, Inc. seeks a part-time/flex Sign Language Interpreter to provide on-site American Sign Language interpretation at diverse customer locations.

The role requires fluent ASL and spoken English, accurate interpretation, and strict adherence to NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct. Pay ranges from $15.74 to $65 per hour, depending on location, education, certifications, and interpreter specialties.

Qualifications

• Fluent ASL and spoken English required.
• Accurate interpretation skills essential.
• Must hold NAD IV/V, BEI-Advanced or Master or RID certification.
• Good understanding of Deaf culture and professional conduct.
• 3–5 years interpreting experience preferred.
• State licensure or credentials if applicable.
• Must be 18 years or older to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective onsite interpreting for consumers at client locations.

• Deliver excellent customer service with professionalism and respect.
• Demonstrate punctuality and preparedness for shifts; maintain records accurately.
