Job summary

Flowserve is seeking a hands-on On‑Site Applications Engineer to be a dedicated reliability field resource for our contracted chemical and refining accounts in Louisiana. You will bridge field diagnostics and engineering solutions, performing teardowns, failure analyses, and plant‑level upgrades.

The role provides direct visibility across the equipment lifecycle and a path toward SME tracks and strategic career growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent engineering background required.
• Foundational to advanced understanding of rotating equipment dynamics, fluid systems, seals and pumps.
• In‑plant or process‑intensive site experience valued; training provided for entry levels.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle, inspect, and diagnose failed pump and mechanical seal systems (DCI) in the field.
• Conduct failure analyses and compile data‑driven reports to justify upgrades or replacements.
• Serve as on‑site technical anchor between operations and Flowserve reliability engineers, service, and manufacturing.
• Direct plant mechanical seal standardization, track quality specs, and resolve hardware variances.
• Lead monthly

• review meetings with customer engineers to track chronic failures and implement protective actions.
• Monitor client parts and tooling stores to optimize inventory and balance sheet efficiency.
