Job summary

Emory Healthcare is seeking an Anesthesia Support Technician to ensure the availability of anesthesia supplies and to maintain sterile, ready-to-use equipment on-site. You will set up carts, stock machines, and assist with the exchange of medication trays in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities include cleaning equipment, following infection control guidelines, retrieving devices, and aiding in training new staff. High school diploma and BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the availability of supplies needed for anesthesia services.
• Sets up, stocks, and maintains specialty carts and anesthesia machines, including exchange of medication trays.
• Maintains equipment and related supplies in aseptic condition.
• Cleans and disinfects contaminated medical equipment.
• Retrieves medical equipment and devices from other areas of the hospital as needed.
• Adheres to quality assurance procedures during daily activities.
• Assists with training and orientation of new employees.
