Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certifications: Current BLS certification required; ASATT certification preferred.
• Experience: Prior knowledge of anesthesia equipment or surgical environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists anesthesia providers with technical setup for general, regional, and local anesthesia.
• Assists with placement of monitoring lines and catheters.
• Verifies proper layout, sterility, and functioning of anesthesia equipment.
• Orders, stocks, turns over, and sets up anesthesia setups in operating rooms.
• Cleans, disinfects, and sterilizes anesthesia equipment per infection control policies.
• Maintains equipment logs and updates the equipment database.
• Collaborates with vendor reps to evaluate new products, techniques, and procedures.
• Demonstrates cost-effectiveness in tracking, using, or purchasing supplies.
• Follows facility exposure control plans for bloodborne pathogens and hazards.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
