Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Construction (QA) Inspector for Shemya Island, AK.

The role requires on-site inspection of airfield pavement works, three-phase QA system, and daily reports documenting activities. Candidates must be US citizens, pass a federal background check and drug screen, with a HS/GED plus 7 years (or an Associate/Technical degree with 5 years, or a BS with 3 years) in construction inspection.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 7+ years in QA construction inspection on pavements or airfield works.
• Alternative: Associate or Technical Degree with 5+ years of relevant inspection experience.
• Alternative: BS degree with 3+ years of inspection experience in construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Inspect airfield runway construction and pavement resurfacing per plans and specs.
• Maintain three-phase inspection records and daily QA reports.
• Review contractor progress, submittals, and pay requests for accuracy.
• Ensure EM 385-1-1 and OSHA safety compliance on site.
• Prepare punch lists and assist in RFIs, changes, and final inspections.
