Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Construction (QA) Inspector for Anchorage, AK to perform on-site quality assurance inspections of airfield and roadways pavement projects.

Responsibilities include daily QA reporting, submittal reviews, and verifying contractor progress against plans and schedules. Requirements include strong knowledge of airfield construction, EM 385-1-1 and OSHA safety standards, plus a paving inspector certification within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 7+ years of construction inspection experience.
• Associate degree or technical training with 5+ years' experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree with 3+ years' experience preferred.
• Paving Inspector Certification required within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Inspect airfield runway improvements and pavement resurfacing per contract plans.
• Perform three-phase inspection system and provide daily QA reports.
• Review contractor progress, submittals, pay requests, and as-built drawings.
• Ensure EM 385-1-1 and OSHA safety compliance on site.
• Maintain inspection reports and support RFIs, changes, and punch lists.
• Assist in pre-final/final inspections and verify schedule adherence.
• Interact professionally with clients and contractors.
