Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in Portland, OR, seeks an on-site, full-time Automated Inspection Equipment operator. You will load programs, calibrate equipment, and verify castings meet specs with ATOS, GOM, and Polyworks tools.

Safety and accurate reporting are essential as you drive dimensional integrity across parts. You will review tech cards and SOPs, perform measurements, and coordinate part movement to support production goals.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret SOPs, quality control manuals, technique cards, and specs.
• Basic math with geometry and trigonometry for dimensional checks.
• Ability to read blueprints and extract required measurements.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stay flexible.

Responsibilities

• Position castings on automated inspection equipment and load programs.
• Follow tech cards and SOPs to place reference targets and scale bars.
• Operate AIE computers, software, and equipment; respond to errors.
• Calibrate and maintain AIE equipment per PCPs; troubleshoot as needed.
• Coordinate part and job movement to support operations.
• Review inspection printouts and generate reports for compliance.
