Job summary

Avenue Z in Miami seeks Forward Deployed AI Engineer to build and ship agent systems that drive social commerce for brands and our platform. You'll embed with teams across performance media, ecommerce, analytics, and ensure end-to-end delivery from discovery to deployment.

You will own architecture, deployment, and evaluation, work with Python/TypeScript, LLM agents, and integrate major marketing APIs. This on-site role demands hands-on problem solving and strong collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years delivering software used by others.
• Proficient in Python or TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with LLM agent systems.
• Experience with marketing, ad, or commerce APIs.
• Cloud infra and containers (AWS/GCP).
• Ability to ship end-to-end from discovery to production.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and high agency.

Responsibilities

• Embed with a business unit, diagnose bottlenecks, and ship a working agent within weeks.
• Build production agent systems: tool use, memory, retrieval, orchestration, and human-in-the-loop gates.
• Integrate with TikTok, Meta, Google, Amazon, Shopify, and affiliate APIs.
• Create data pipelines tying creator content, ad spend, and GMV into a single view.
• Develop the evaluation harness to measure performance before production.
• Own APIs, queues, auth, observability, and cost controls.
• Instrument systems with metrics like hours saved and spend efficiency.
• Document solutions, drive adoption, and iterate post-launch.
