Job summary

Avenue Z, Inc. is hiring a Forward Deployed AI Engineer to build and ship agent systems that power social commerce for brands and our platform.

You will embed with teams across performance media, creators, ecommerce, and analytics, identifying throughput gaps and delivering production agents that automate critical workflows. You will own discovery, architecture, build, deployment, evaluation, and ongoing improvement, while integrating deeply with major ad platforms and partner APIs.

Qualifications

• CS or technical background without strict degree requirements.
• 3–5 years building and shipping software.
• Experience with Python or TypeScript and deployed services.

Responsibilities

• Embed with a business unit to diagnose throughput or margin losses and ship a working agent.
• Build production agent systems with tool use, planning loops, memory, and retrieval.
• Integrate against commerce/ad platforms (TikTok Shop/Ads, Meta, Amazon, Shopify, Google, Snap).
• Create data pipelines tying creator content, ad spend, and GMV.
• Develop evaluation harnesses to measure production readiness.
• Own infrastructure: APIs, queues, auth, observability, error handling, rate limits, cost controls.
• Instrument systems with metrics like hours saved and spend efficiency.
• Document and drive adoption post-launch.
