Job summary

Avenue Z, Inc. in Miami is hiring a Forward Deployed AI Engineer to build and ship agent systems that power social commerce for brands and our own platform.

You will embed with teams, diagnose throughput losses, and ship a working agent within weeks, owning discovery, architecture, build, deploy, evals, and adoption. You will work with cloud infrastructure, APIs, and data pipelines to tie creator content and ad spend to GMV.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years building and shipping software.
• Proficient in Python or TypeScript.
• Experience building LLM agent systems: function calls, RAG, orchestration.
• Experience integrating third‑party marketing, ad, or commerce APIs.
• Familiar with cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP), containers, CI/CD, and SQL.
• Able to work with AI coding tools like Claude Code and Cursor.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ownership and high agency.

Responsibilities

• Embed with a business unit, diagnose throughput or margin loss, and ship a working agent within weeks.
• Build production agent systems: tooling, memory, retrieval, orchestration, and human-in-the-loop gates where money is on the line.
• Integrate against commerce and ad platforms (TikTok Shop/Ads, Meta, Amazon, Shopify).
• Build data pipelines and analytics tying creator content, ad spend, and GMV.
• Create evaluation harnesses; ship only with measurable checks.
• Own infrastructure: APIs, queues, auth, observability, costs, and error handling.
• Instrument systems with metrics like hours saved, cycle time cut, spend efficiency, GMV.
• Document, drive adoption, and iterate after launch.
