Job summary

Community Housing Opportunities Corporation seeks an experienced Community Manager in Sacramento to oversee daily operations of an affordable housing community, ensuring regulatory compliance, strong financial performance, and resident satisfaction.

The role covers leasing, resident services, staff supervision, and vendor coordination, with a focus on adherence to program requirements and reporting. On-site housing is provided as part of the position.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in affordable property management (LIHTC, HUD, or similar).
• Strong understanding of leasing processes, rent collection, and compliance documentation.
• Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Proficiency in property management software (Yardi preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Leasing & compliance administration for properties and units.
• Manage move-ins, recertifications, and related paperwork.
• Report property status, vacancies, and certifications on a regular basis.
• Maintain organized filing systems for residents, vendors, and maintenance.
• Prepare weekly and monthly compliance and accounting reports.
• Oversee financial operations including rent collection and delinquency management.
• Supervise maintenance staff and vendors; ensure safety and life-safety checks.
