Job summary

Howmet Fastening Systems (HFS) seeks a Machining/Heading Tech III on 1st shift at the Fullerton, CA site. This role operates and sets up heading machines, handles raw materials, reviews blueprints, and ensures parts meet specifications in a high-tech aerospace environment.

Eligible candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and 2 years of machining experience. Location is on-site in Fullerton with competitive wages and comprehensive benefits. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of experience operating machinery.
• Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate progressive heading machines (Okuma and National) per part specs.
• Load raw material (wire coils) and monitor machines during production.
• Study samples, blueprints, drawings to determine methods and sequence.
• Measure, examine and test finished units for defects.
• Fabricate replacement and new parts for facility machinery.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair facility machinery.
• Produce, rework and repair tooling per drawings and specs.
• Maintain, clean and secure work area and tools.
• Secure equipment when not in use.
• Adhere to EHS, quality, CI and company policies.
