Job summary

ProSidian seeks an Accounting Specialist | Accounting Operations to support program accounting activities at a client site in Aiken, South Carolina. This contract-contingent role aligns with the Accounting Operations functional area and will require strict adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

You will validate invoices, post data, support month-end close, prepare 1099s, and respond to inquiries as part of a multidisciplinary engagement with SRMC and related teams.

Qualifications

• Accounting Operations role aligned with the Accounting Operations functional area.
• Experience supporting Nuclear and Environmental Management Sector Clients such as SRMC is ideal.
• Position may be Contract Contingent or Contract W-2; potential conversion to a full-time ProSidian employed W-2 position.

Responsibilities

• Safety is a primary responsibility in each job performed.
• Verifies information on vendor invoices, detects and corrects erroneous data.
• Routes and enters data into accounting system on a timely basis in order for payments to be processed when due.
• Responds to employee or vendor inquiries.
• Prepares and sends out 1099’s.
• Assist in month end closing.
• Maintains electronic and hard copy filing.
• May update accounting journals, ledgers or other financial records.
