Job summary

University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks adjunct faculty to teach on-site at JBLM in Washington for the Accounting program. Positions covering Principles of Accounting I/II and Accounting Information Systems are available.

Minimum requirements include a Master's degree in Accounting or related field, professional accounting experience, and the ability to teach adult learners in higher education. Certifications such as CPA/CIA/CISA/CFE are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited institution.
• Professional experience in Accounting or related field.
• Experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education is strongly preferred.
• Certifications such as the CPA, CIA, CISA, or CFE.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage students through frequent interaction and enthusiasm for learning.
• Guide students in collaborative and applied learning through problem- and project-based activities.
• Provide regular, constructive feedback using rubrics to assess student work.
• Demonstrate current subject-matter expertise and connect concepts across the program.
• Provide feedback to the program chair on curricular improvements.
