Job summary

UMGC seeks adjunct faculty to teach on-site at JBLM, Washington for the Accounting program, covering Principles of Accounting I, II, and Accounting Information Systems.

Applicants must hold a Master’s in Accounting or related field and have professional accounting experience; CPA/CIA/CISA/CFE certifications are preferred. On-site JBLM employment; salary commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
• Professional experience in Accounting or related field required.
• Experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education preferred.
• Certifications such as the CPA, CIA, CISA, or CFE preferred.
• Position is specifically to teach on-site at JBLM.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage students through frequent interaction and motivation.
• Guide students in collaborative and problem-based learning demonstrations.
• Provide regular constructive feedback using rubrics for assessment.
• Demonstrate current subject-matter expertise and connect concepts across the program.
• Provide curricular feedback to the program chair.
