Job summary

Dallas College seeks a Notetaker to listen to lectures, produce accurate notes for a student with a disability, and deliver notes within tight timeframes. This on-site position may move to a hybrid arrangement after six months based on responsibilities and policy.

Required are confidentiality, strong communication, and experience with diverse populations. High School Diploma or equivalent is required; bilingual skills are a plus. Background checks apply.

Qualifications

• Confidentiality of information must be maintained.
• Ability to work with diverse student populations.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leverage technology platforms to support students with disabilities.
• Provide training to use equipment and instruct students.
• Utilize strong communication with stakeholders inside and outside Dallas College.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients.
• May maintain related department records and confidential databases.
• Provide information to prospective students and parents regarding services.
• Present accessibility information at campus events.
• Complete required Dallas College PD hours per academic year.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
