Job summary

Atlanta Autism Center is seeking an ABA Billing Specialist to manage credentialing, billing tasks, authorizations, and patient insurance processing at multiple metro locations. The role focuses on timely claim submissions, collections, and posting payments, with a strong emphasis on reducing accounts receivable and ensuring HIPAA compliance.

The ideal candidate will have ABA billing experience with eClinical, EMR, and ECW, familiarity with CentralReach, and solid knowledge of billing procedures.

Qualifications

• ABA Billing experience with eClinical, EMR and ECW.
• Familiarity with CentralReach.
• Knowledge of office procedures.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instruction.
• Basic medical terminology.
• Ability to interpret an EOB and knowledge of computerized billing systems.
• Ability to develop goals, prioritize, organize and make efficient use of time.
• Ability to communicate with patients to collect delinquent accounts.
• Ability to use individual judgement to solve problems and make decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements billing processes in collaboration with leadership.
• Documents and creates SOPs for Billing processes for training.
• Collects and verifies all patient insurance information monthly.
• Completes all insurance forms, schedules peer reviews, and processes claims in a timely manner.
• Daily reconciliation of sessions and linked authorizations.
• Transmits daily electronic claims to third-party payers and resolves delays within 24 hours.
• Proactively follows up on pending claims and resubmits denials as required.
• Maintains HIPAA confidentiality and handles patient data securely.
• Trains and supervises billing staff.
• Generates reports and delivers them to leadership as requested.
