Job summary

LAUKOA seeks experienced HVAC Mechanics to provide 24/7 on-site support for the NIST Boulder campus. The HVAC Mechanic will monitor and maintain HVAC and refrigeration systems, respond to alarms and service calls, conduct mechanical room rounds, perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs, and support critical Central Utility Plant and campus operations.

Candidates must have at least five years of HVAC experience in relevant environments, hold Universal CFC/EPA 608 certification, and be

Qualifications

• Five years HVAC mechanic experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Must hold Universal CFC/EPA Section 608 certification.
• Experience with packaged units, air handling units and refrigeration equipment.

Responsibilities

• Remain on the NIST Boulder campus during duty and respond to alarms within 15 minutes.
• Support Central Utility Plant operations and respond to HVAC alarms and leaks.
• Perform mechanical room rounds and document conditions.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and minor repairs on HVAC systems and pumps.
• Monitor after-hours Metasys alarms and respond as assigned.
• Coordinate with on-duty Stationary Engineer for operations.
