Job summary

UPS seeks a qualified supervisor to oversee daily performance of service providers in Albany, Oregon. You will ensure safety, quality service, and compliance with environmental, health, and safety requirements while fostering customer relationships and recognizing growth opportunities.

The role requires DOT certification, package car driving experience, and the ability to manage a diverse team. You’ll lead planning, training, audits, and performance evaluations to drive operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (or internationally comparable degree) or be a current UPS employee with three years of UPS experience
• Must be DOT certified and able to pass a physical exam, including driving test
• Must have previous UPS Package car driving experience

Responsibilities

• Manages and works with on road employees to maximize efficiency and ensure packages are delivered safely and on time
• Maintains operational performance by developing and implementing work process plans and monitoring costs
• Applies policies and procedures to business situations and operations
• Participates in development and implementation of work processes to maximize center proficiency
• Ensures implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive health and safety plan
• Conducts risk management and safety audits
• Coaches and develops others using career development tools
• Provides feedback and support to team
• Conducts performance evaluations and addresses issues
• Supports a collaborative work environment through communication and relationship building
• Applies safety compliance knowledge to reduce company risk
• Assesses customer or business needs and trends
