Job summary

UPS is seeking a supervisor for daily operations to oversee service providers, ensure safe and timely deliveries, and drive process improvements. The role focuses on performance reviews, audits, and leveraging technology to cut costs while maintaining high service levels.

The position emphasizes customer communication, identifying opportunities for growth, and coordinating with management to achieve business goals in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Must meet local age and license requirements.
• Availability to work flexible hours.
• Ability to assess customer or business needs to define project requirements.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety and injury prevention.
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance functions.
• Knowledge of small package operations and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Completes administrative tasks (performance reviews, accident reports, service failures, training) in a timely, accurate manner to facilitate the execution of the dispatch plan through the Service Providers.
• Completes required audits during on-job supervision rides to ensure adherence to UPS policies and procedures.
• Utilizes technology (Orion, PAS, Telematics, etc.) to identify opportunities for performance improvement and risk mitigation.
• Communicates with customers to respond to service concerns, build relationships, and determines solutions that meet business goals.
• Uncovers business opportunities to forward this information to the proper department for follow up.
• Encourages service providers to identify and forward volume development opportunities to management.
• Creates a customer focused work environment to emphasize service and focus on building the business.
• Communicates customers' business needs to employees to provide an understanding of job responsibilities and how actions impact customers.
