Job summary

G&J Pepsi is seeking On-Premise General Service Workers to support customer locations with the safe, reliable preparation, delivery, installation and removal of all company equipment (e.g. fountains, coolers, vending machines) according to established company standards.

Minimum HS diploma or GED; 6–12 months merchandising/sales experience and basic mechanical troubleshooting. Valid Class A CDL preferred. Schedule is Mon–Fri, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; overtime as required.

Qualifications

• High School degree, GED or equivalent; trade school in heating, cooling, HVAC, mechanics or related field preferred.
• 1+ year of related merchandising/sales/customer relations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, prepares and repairs equipment to established standards.
• Delivers and installs equipment at customer locations per standards.
• Issues invoices and credits for events; reviews paperwork with customers.
• Adheres to OSHA and safety requirements; wears PPE.
• Communicates with customers and Pepsi management about issues at customer locations.
• Maintains organization of warehouse and vehicles; loads/unloads deliveries.
• Completes required paperwork and ensures confidentiality of pricing and customer data.
• Works schedule with attendance; overtime as needed.

Monday through Friday, 8:00a.m. to 4:30p.m. However, this schedule is subject to change based on business needs

Position Summary

On-Premise General Service Workers serve our internal and external customers by ensuring the safe, reliable and timely preparation, delivery, installation and removal of all company equipment (e.g. fountains, coolers, vending machines) according to established company standards (e.g. cleanliness, graphics).

Essential Functions

• Cleans, prepares and, repairs all equipment according to established standards; ensures equipment is clean, operating correctly and meets all established standards (e.g. graphics, asset tags).
• Delivers and installs all equipment at our customer locations according to established standards (e.g. operational equipment, updated graphics, proper installation, clean equipment and work area).
• Issues invoices and credits for events; reviews paperwork with customers.
• Adheres to all company policies, standards and procedures (e.g. OSHA and safety requirements, AIBI and Pepsi standards, Federal/State/Local laws); wears all required personal protective equipment.
• Communicates with customers and Pepsi management on issues regarding equipment, products, opportunities and problems that arise at the customer location.
• Assists in the organization of the sales equipment warehouse; loads and unloads delivery trucks; stacks equipment safely and neatly; maintains a clean, neat and organized workspace and/or vehicle.
• Maintains confidentiality of pricing, customer information and other sensitive and confidential information.
• Completes time-off requests, inventory sheets, Equipment Move Orders, DOT logs and other paperwork as required according to established standards.
• Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works overtime as required to meet workload demands. Performs other related duties as required.
• Troubleshoots and repairs equipment at customer locations.

Education Level

High School degree, GED or equivalent; trade school diploma in heating, cooling, HVAC, mechanics or related field strongly preferred.

Experience

6-12 months of previous merchandising /sales/customer relations experience. 6-12 months of previous mechanical and/or equipment troubleshooting experience

Certificates & Licenses

Valid Class A Commercial Drivers license or the ability to gain one. Employee must be insurable to operate a vehicle, as a condition of initial and continued employment.

Additional Requirements

Knowledge of: beverage industry; product line; retail sales environment; various equipment (e.g. vending machines, coolers, fountain units); basic mechanics and troubleshooting.

Skill in: internal and external customer service in a variety of settings; basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to: work quickly, efficiently and independently without direct supervision; adapt to change; display a professional, positive attitude; read (e.g. diagrams, maps) and write; perform basic math functions (e.g. addition, subtraction); communicate effectively with customers and other employees and develop good working relationships; Operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT), including forklifts, motorized pallet jack and walkie rider in compliance with safety standards and company procedures; drive a vehicle; lift heavy equipment repetitively; multi-task; problem solve.
