Job summary

Crystal Mountain, WA, is seeking a dynamic Sous Chef to join our culinary team across multiple mountain venues. This role thrives in fast-paced environments, requires versatility, and involves stepping into different kitchens with confidence and skill. On-mountain access may require skiing or snowboarding.

You will support executive chefs, manage prep, cooking, and inventory, mentor staff, uphold food safety, and drive consistent, high-quality menus while adapting to seasonal demands.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ experience in Food & Beverage required.
• Minimum of 1 year in Culinary BOH management or progressive leadership skills.
• Strong culinary skills across cuisines and service styles.
• Ability to ski or snowboard proficiently (intermediate+).
• Microsoft Office familiarity; experience with ordering, costing, accounting in kitchens.
• Serv Safe certification or ability to obtain WA Food Handlers Permit.
• Ability to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support Executive Chefs across venues and adapt to different kitchen environments.
• Execute prep, cooking, inventory, and sanitation functions.
• Learn and master a variety of menus while upholding high culinary standards.
• Ski or snowboard to access on-mountain venues and lead in the Head Chef’s absence.
