The On-Mountain Food & Beverage Outlet Server is responsible for selling and serving food and beverages to guests at various outdoor outpost locations across the Mission Ridge mountain. This position requires proficiency in skiing or snowboarding, as servers must travel to assigned outpost locations—sometimes carrying food items or supplies—using intermediate (blue-level) terrain. Outposts may include fixed and mobile sites such as Midway, Bomber Cliffs, Chair 2 base, and the Taco Cat location, which moves throughout the mountain.
This hands-on role combines food service, guest interaction, and cash handling in a fast-paced, outdoor setting. The server ensures high-quality product delivery and exceptional guest service while maintaining a clean, stocked, and organized work environment. The ability to work under pressure with a consistently positive attitude is essential to success in this team-driven role.
This position requires regular skiing or snowboarding with supplies across varying terrain, often while carrying a backpack or other materials. The role involves standing for extended periods, bending, lifting, and working in outdoor winter conditions. Manual dexterity and clear communication are necessary for food service and guest interaction. Lifting of items up to 50 lbs may be required.
The work environment consists of several on-mountain outpost locations, which are fully outdoors and accessed only by skiing or riding. Locations include the base of Bomber Cliffs, the bottom of Chair 2, near the lodge, and the mobile Taco Cat unit. Exposure to cold weather, snow, wind, and variable mountain conditions is constant. Work may also occur around snowcats or snowmobiles. Team members must be adaptable, safety-minded, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, outdoor setting.
