Job summary

The City of Farmington Hills' Ice Arena seeks a Learn to Skate instructor to lead classes, handle registration, and support exhibitions and ice shows. You will work under the skating director and interact with skaters and the public to ensure smooth operations.

ASAP start, evenings and weekends, about 6-8 hours per week, part-time with no overtime. Requires PSA and ISI credentials and teaching experience, plus ability to communicate clearly with participants and parents.

Qualifications

• PSA and ISI Associate members USFSA and ISI test credentials.
• Teaching experience with the public.
• Knowledge of USFSA and ISI tests and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Instruct Learn to Skate classes.
• Assist with registration, exhibitions, and ice shows and competitions.
• Support all programs held within the Ice Arena.

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the supervision of the skating director, instructs Learn to Skate classes, registration, exhibitions, and/or ice shows and competitions and supports all programs held within the Ice Arena.

PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE:

PSA and ISI Associate members USFSA and ISI test credentials, teaching experience, ability to work with the public, knowledge of USFSA and ISI tests and requirements.

EMPLOYMENT STATUS:

Part-Time

START DATE & WORK SCHEDULE:

ASAP Evenings and weekends with some day shifts. 6-8 hours per week. No overtime.
