Job summary

Motocruit is seeking an experienced Collision Estimator for our client in New Jersey. You will assess collision damage, prepare accurate repair estimates with computerized software, and coordinate with insurers and customers to ensure repairs meet high standards.

Requirements include at least 2 years of collision estimating experience, strong communication, and the ability to read manuals and schematics. ASE/I-CAR certifications are a plus. Competitive compensation and benefits are offered.

Job Description

Our Client is seeking an experienced and detail-orientedCollision Estimator to join their team. The Collision Estimator will beresponsible for evaluating collision damage, preparing accurate repairestimates, and coordinating with insurance companies and customers to ensurethat all repairs are performed to the highest standards. The successfulcandidate must have excellent communication and customer service skills, athorough understanding of collision repair processes, and the ability to workin a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers and conduct a thorough inspection oftheir vehicle to identify all collision damage
  • Prepare accurate repair estimates using computerizedestimating software, ensuring that all repairs are in compliance withinsurance guidelines
  • Communicate with insurance adjusters to ensure thatestimates are approved in a timely manner
  • Order parts and schedule repairs, ensuring that allrepairs are completed on time and within budget
  • Keep customers informed throughout the repairprocess, answering any questions they may have and addressing any concerns
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure that all repairsmeet the highest standards, including proper fit and finish, paint colormatch, and that all mechanical components are working as designed
  • Review and analyze repair orders to ensure that allwork performed is documented accurately
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and properlydispose of hazardous materials
  • Follow established safety procedures and guidelinesto ensure a safe work environment
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • ASE (National Institute for Automotive ServiceExcellence) certification in collision repair is a plus
  • I-CAR (Inter-Industry Conference on Auto CollisionRepair) certification is highly preferred
