Yancey Bros. Co. is seeking an On Highway Parts Specialist in Georgia to deliver superior customer experiences by providing parts consultation and sales to customers in person and over the phone. You will greet customers, understand their needs, and propose the best parts solutions.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of industry experience and a strong sense of urgency for customer service excellence, with the ability to handle transactions and work overtime as required.

What You Will Be Doing:

As the On Highway Parts Specialist, you will deliver a superior customer experience by providing parts consultation and sales to our customers, including over the counter and shop customers.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Courteously and quickly greet all walk-in and call-in customers.
• Assist customers in a consultative manner to provide the best parts solution for their needs.
• Gain proficiency in parts knowledge and continue growing as new products are introduced.
• Employ superior listening skills and assess customers’ needs.
• Advise customers of additional related parts.
• Inform customers of specials and merchandising programs.
• Follow up quickly with customers on backordered items and communicate any changes in delivery dates or availability.
• Create purchases orders prior to placing orders with vendors for all non-Cat backorders.
• Initiate outbound sales calls to customers as directed by parts supervision.
• Handle and process cash, check, and credit card transactions in compliance with company policy and procedures, including assuring that checks contain all required information and are approved through UTA.
• Be available to work overtime on short notice and provide afterhours support when required.
• Successfully complete all required training.
• Review will-call area weekly, contacting customers on items not picked up and returning items to inventory, as needed.

Perform and enter daily cycle counts each morning prior to receiving stock or billing out any items.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Participate in required safety program and work in a safe manner.
• Additional duties as assigned by manager.

Who We Are Looking For:

To be successful in this position you should have prior sales experience, preferably in the trucking industry, including parts and/or service. You should possess a strong sense of urgency and desire to provide superior customer service.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have 1-3 years industry experience.

• Ability to work with in a team atmosphere.
