Job summary

Yancey Bros. Co. is seeking a Parts Warehouse/Delivery Driver to pull stock orders, perform cycle counts, and deliver parts to customers and other Yancey stores.

The role requires attention to detail, safe driving, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying temperatures. The successful candidate will maintain a clean warehouse, manage cores and warranties, and support store operations with efficient loading and unloading.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Clean driving record and the ability to obtain DOT card.
• Able to lift 50 lbs repetitively and occasionally higher amounts with assistive devices.
• Willingness to work in hot/cold weather conditions.
• Problem solving and multitasking.
• Safety conscious and customer focused.

Responsibilities

• Pull stock orders for customers, technicians, and stores in the Yancey family.
• Perform daily cycle counts each morning before stock reception or billing.
• Bin locate items that do not have locations yet.
• Inspect worn cores before issuing credit.
• Review all part and core credits from the previous day.
• Build hoses with proper assembly and contamination control techniques.
• Pull all orders in a timely manner including branch transfers and deliveries to customers.
• Maintain a clean warehouse by sweeping and cleaning daily.
• Process and return cores weekly.
• Respond to warranty parts return requests weekly.
• Purge unneeded items from warranty hold areas monthly.
• Deliver parts to customers and pick up outside purchases and cores using company vehicle.

What You Will Be Doing:

As the Parts Warehouse/Delivery Driver you will be responsible for pulling stock orders for customers, technicians and other stores in the Yancey family. The Parts Warehouse/Delivery Driver will also be responsible for daily cycle counts, maintaining a clean warehouse and making deliveries to customers and other Yancey stores as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform and enter daily cycle counts each morning prior to receiving stock or billing out any items.
• Receive all stock orders each day and properly bin locate any items that do not already have bin locations assigned.
• Inspect worn cores before issuing credit.
• Review all part and core credits issued from previous day to verify receipt.
• Build hoses utilizing proper assembly and contamination control techniques.
• Pull all orders in a timely manner including branch transfers received prior to cut-off, delivering shop orders, and assisting customers with loading.
• Maintain a clean warehouse by sweeping and cleaning each day.
• Process and return cores each week.
• Respond to all warranty parts return requests each week.
• Purge unneeded items from warranty hold areas monthly.
• Deliver parts to customers, as well as pickup outside purchases and core returns, while operating a company owned vehicle in a responsible, safe manner.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner.
• Additional duties as assigned by manager.

To be successful in this position you should be organized, show an attention for detail and a sense of urgency. You should have basic computer skills, safety conscious and the willingness to learn. The ability to multitask, problem solve and provide superior customer service are essential to this position as well.

Education/Experience:

• High school or equivalent

Required Qualifications/Skills:
