Job summary

Yancey Bros. Co. in Pooler, GA, is seeking a Parts Warehouse Associate / Delivery Driver. You will pull stock, prepare orders, and deliver parts to customers and other Yancey stores using a company vehicle, while keeping the warehouse orderly.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Forklift certification is a plus, along with prior warehouse experience and a mindset focused on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid, active driver's license.
• Ability to clear driver screenings and provide necessary information for a complete driver file, including background check and MVR, DOT Physical and Drug Screen.
• Able to obtain forklift certification.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively.
• Willingness to work in hot/cold weather conditions.
• Safety conscious and customer focused.
• Be self-driven and take pride in your work.
• Preferred: Prior experience in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Pull stock orders for customers, technicians and other stores; bin locate items.
• Perform and enter daily cycle counts each morning.
• Receive all stock orders and bin locate unlocated items.
• Inspect worn cores before issuing credit.
• Review all part and core credits from previous day.
• Build hoses using proper assembly and contamination control techniques.
• Pull all orders in a timely manner; deliver shop orders; assist loading.
• Maintain a clean warehouse by sweeping and cleaning daily.
• Process and return cores each week.
• Respond to warranty parts return requests weekly.
• Purge unneeded items from warranty hold areas monthly.
• Deliver parts to customers and pickup outside purchases/core returns using company vehicle.

What You Will Be Doing:

As the Parts Warehouse/Delivery Driver you will be responsible for pulling stock orders for customers, technicians and other stores in the Yancey family. The Parts Warehouse/Delivery Driver will also be responsible for daily cycle counts, maintaining a clean warehouse and making deliveries to customers and other Yancey stores as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform and enter daily cycle counts each morning prior to receiving stock or billing out any items.
• Receive all stock orders each day and properly bin locate any items that do not already have bin locations assigned.
• Inspect worn cores before issuing credit.
• Review all part and core credits issued from previous day to verify receipt.
• Build hoses utilizing proper assembly and contamination control techniques.
• Pull all orders in a timely manner including branch transfers received prior to cut-off, delivering shop orders, and assisting customers with loading.
• Maintain a clean warehouse by sweeping and cleaning each day.
• Process and return cores each week.
• Respond to all warranty parts return requests each week.
• Purge unneeded items from warranty hold areas monthly.
• Deliver parts to customers, as well as pickup outside purchases and core returns, while operating a company owned vehicle in a responsible, safe manner.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner.
• Additional duties as assigned by manager.

Who We Are Looking For:

To be successful in this position you should be organized, show an attention for detail and a sense of urgency. You should have basic computer skills, safety conscious and the willingness to learn. The ability to multitask, problem solve and provide superior customer service are essential to this position as well.

Education/Experience:

• High school or equivalent

Required Qualifications/Skills:
