Job summary

Lilly is seeking a Manufacturing Scientist/Engineer – Technical Operations for the Lilly Medicines Foundry in Lebanon, Indiana. The role supports and executes shift operations, ensures batch readiness, and collaborates with process engineers and R&D to transfer new processes to the plant.

Initial location at Lilly Technology Center in Indianapolis or Parkwood West, Carmel, with permanent site in Lebanon. Travel ~5% and strict adherence to cGMP and safety standards are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in science or engineering, or technical field; or HS Diploma/GED with 5+ years of pharma manufacturing experience.
• Experience with process hazard reviews (PHR) and GMP environments is preferred.
• Ability to author procedures and lead investigations.

Responsibilities

• Provide on‑floor shift support for technical, training, and process activities.
• Lead incident investigations and contribute to continuous improvement in changeover workflows.
• Coordinate with PE, PTE, PRD, HSE, and QA for successful tech transfers and process campaigns.
