Job summary

Lilly is seeking a Scientist/Engineer – Technical Operations for the Lilly Medicines Foundry in Lebanon, Indiana. The role supports and potentially executes on-floor shift operations, ensuring readiness, training, and procedural adherence in a fast-paced GMP environment.

The position requires a BS/AS in science or engineering with 5+ years of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience, and the ability to travel up to 5%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate's Degree in science, engineering, or technical field with 5+ years of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; Lilly does not sponsor visas.
• Experience with process hazard reviews (PHRs), SOPs, and batch records is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-the-floor shift support for technical, training, and process activities.
• Evaluate processes and protocols, deviations, and provide assessments to cross-functional teams.
• Lead incident investigations and coordinate with PE, PTE, PRD, HSE, and QA to ensure successful transfers.
• Support equipment qualification and SAT during pre-startup; develop SOPs and operator training plans.
• Collaborate on process campaigns, changeovers, and equipment setup for 24/7 operations as needed.
