Job summary

Eli Lilly and Company in Indiana is seeking a Manufacturing Scientist/Engineer – Technical Operations to support and potentially execute shift operations on the floor, ensure batch readiness, and collaborate across Process Engineering, Process Translation and Execution, and Product Research and Development.

The role involves equipment qualification, SAT, SOP development, operator training plans, and leading incident investigations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate's Degree in science, engineering; OR technical field or HS Diploma/GED with 5+ years of directly applicable manufacturing experience in pharmaceutical operations, including on-the- floor activities, incident investigations (safety and quality), and process hazard reviews.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-the-floor shift support for the operations staff, including technical training and process support, and sometimes execute production activities.
• Lead safety and quality investigations and author investigation reports.
• Coordinate and oversee project execution for changeovers and new product introductions, including equipment setup, cleaning, and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with PE, PTE, PRD, HSE, and QA to transfer processes to the Foundry and ensure compliance with cGMPs.
