Job summary

JCB North American headquarters in Pooler, GA seeks an experienced Safety Technician to support OSHA general industry manufacturing standards on the production floor. This role partners with the EHS Director, Manager and Specialist to ensure regulatory compliance and practical safety improvements.

You will help develop policies, lead incident investigations, prepare leadership reports, and train employees on forklifts and PITs.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ related experience in general industry manufacturing environments.
• Must pass drug screens, background checks, and pre-employment tests as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide day to day support for OSHA programs and standards applicable to general industry manufacturing.
• Support development and updates of OSHA and Environmental policies, programs and standards.
• Lead incident investigations using a team-based approach to implement corrective actions.
• Support preparation and delivery of EHS performance reports for leadership.
• Support implementation of sustainability and recycling initiatives.
• conduct EHS inspections and audits, generate reports and communicate findings.
• Provide day-to-day technical safety and health advice to employees and contractors.
• Train and certify employees on forklifts and PITs.
• Identify and address at risk behaviours and conditions.
