Job summary

Dominique Dawes Academy in Rockville, MD is seeking a Program Lead to manage day-to-day facility operations, ensuring safety, consistency, and efficiency. As Manager on Duty, you’ll supervise on-floor activities, guide staff, and handle safety across gymnastic, ninja, and recreational programs.

This role also supports admin tasks, class coverage when coaches are unavailable, and coordination of program logistics.

Qualifications

• Requires strong gymnastics knowledge or experience.
• CPR, First Aid, and Safesport certifications required.
• Experience in gymnastics, children’s enrichment, fitness, or youth programs required.
• Prior management or leadership experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and engaging environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary MOD for assigned shifts, overseeing daily facility operations and safety.
• Open and close facility per procedures, including safety checks.
• Act as first point of contact for parent concerns and scheduling issues.
• Monitor class flow, staff coverage, and floor safety across programs.
• Respond to incidents and document according to academy protocols.
• Assist with program and equipment changeovers to prep floor for classes.
• Support front desk and check-in during peak hours.
• Coordinate staff scheduling and communicate changes to coaches.
• Maintain accurate logs of incidents, attendance, and shifts.
• Attend staff meetings and required trainings.
• Support program logistics across departments, including scheduling and space allocation.
• Assist with event and showcase logistics, including staffing and setup.
• Offer coverage teaching when coaches are unavailable.
