Job summary

Dominique Dawes Academy in Ashburn, VA seeks a Program Manager to oversee daily gym operations, safety, and staff leadership across recreational gymnastics and ninja programs. This onsite role emphasizes floor presence and coaching supervision to ensure high-quality experiences for families.

You will manage coaching teams, scheduling, and event execution while driving enrollment growth and customer satisfaction through strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• 3+ years of gymnastics coaching or instruction experience.
• 2+ years of supervisory, team lead, or management experience.
• Experience in gymnastics, youth athletics, recreation, or youth development programs.
• Experience with staff scheduling, onboarding, training, and performance management.
• Experience supporting delivery of classes, camps, events, or other youth programming.
• Excellent customer service, communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage daily floor operations, staff coverage, and multiple priorities.
• CPR/AED, First Aid, and SafeSport certified, or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) for a significant portion of scheduled shifts, overseeing daily floor operations, safety, and staff presence.
• Coordinate program change-overs, floor scheduling, and class rotations, ensuring on-time delivery.
• Monitor cleanliness, safety, and readiness of gym and equipment; assist with safety audits and incident follow-ups.
• Ensure training floor is maintained as a safe environment for participants and staff.
• Build and maintain a welcoming, safe training environment; be the on-floor contact for families and inquiries.
• Support GM with hiring and selecting coaches for open positions.
• Supervise, schedule, onboard, and develop staff and coaches.
• Foster teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement among staff.
• Maintain open communication with parents regarding program updates and progress.
• Support staffing and execution logistics for seasonal camps, events, open gyms, and birthday parties.
• Coordinate and drive all gymnastics and ninja programs year-round; align with mission and standards.
• Partner with leadership to update curriculum and roll out lesson plans.
• Lead day-of-execution of programming and events with proper staffing.
• Provide operational input on program improvements as requested.
