Job summary

The Spearfish Sasquatch Baseball Club is seeking an On-Field Personality & Host Intern for the 2027 season. You will be the face of the team, interacting with fans during 30+ home games and promotions on the field and in the stands.

Ideal candidates are energetic, creative, and enthusiastic about sports, with strong speaking skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Engaging, energetic host with the ability to energize fans.
• Creative and outside-the-box mindset for promotions.
• A passion for sports and fan engagement.
• Comfortable speaking to large crowds on microphone.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and multitask independently.

Responsibilities

• Attend 30+ home games and playoff games if necessary.
• Coordinate theme nights to make each event special.
• Serve as On-Field Host leading promotions and games.
• Coordinate pre-game on-field activities including national anthem and first pitch.
• Write game scripts for PA announcer and staff.
• Ensure props and promotional supplies are ready and stored.
• Assist in pre-game setup and post-game cleanup.
• Assist with pre-game and post-game shows.
• Brainstorm new in-game promotions.
• Support sponsor promotions and contractual needs.
• Participate in team operations and duties as assigned by management.
• Attend weekly planning meetings.
