Tiff’s Treats in Austin, TX is hiring for an On Duty Manager (ODM)/Kitchen with occasional driver duties. This part-time, non-exempt, hourly role offers shift flexibility from morning to late evening and may include weekend work.

ODMs lead the team on shift and ensure smooth store operations. Additionally, you’ll work as a Tiff’s Treater, baking warm cookies, packing orders, and delivering with your own vehicle when needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum leadership experience in a fast-paced environment.

• Valid driver’s license with clean record and access to a personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• ODM duties include leading the team during shifts and overseeing store operations.
• Train and evaluate 1–6 employees per shift and manage daily workflows.
• Open/close procedures, inventory checks, and accuracy of daily paperwork.
• Route orders to improve delivery speed and efficiency.
• Assist with front-of-house tasks and ensure order accuracy.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback as needed.
• As a Treater, bake treats, package orders, and deliver when required.

When not serving as the ODM, you'll work as a “Tiff’s Treater” which includes taking occasional deliveries, contributing to the overall success of the team. This is a part-time, non-exempt, hourly position. The schedule will be flexible, yet varied, encompassing day, night, and some weekend shifts, typically between 7 AM and 11 PM.

What You’ll Do / As an On Duty Manager (ODM):

• Earn $18/hr for ODM shifts
• Serve as the manager on duty in the absence of salaried managers, leading the team and ensuring smooth store operations.
• Oversee, train, and evaluate the work of 1–6 employees per shift, fostering a productive and positive work environment.
• Manage daily operations, including product preparation, sales, inventory, and service to ensure seamless guest experiences.
• Execute opening and closing procedures, complete daily paperwork, and conduct inventory checks to maintain accuracy.
• Optimize delivery efficiency by routing orders to maximize speed and delivery business.
• Maintain a positive, can-do attitude, setting the tone for the team and leading by example in every role.
• Assist with front-of-house tasks, including greeting customers, taking orders, handling transactions, and ensuring order accuracy.
• Support performance management, including coaching team members and providing feedback or corrective actions as needed.

As a Tiff’s Treater

• Earn $12/hr for Tiff's Treater shifts, plus applicable tips and delivery fees
• Bake and prepare warm, delicious treats to perfection, following company recipes and quality standards.
• Accurately package orders for delivery or pickup, ensuring a delightful customer experience.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment while upholding food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Deliver warm, freshly baked treats quickly and efficiently using a personal vehicle.
• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers with a smile and ensuring a positive experience including assisting with front-of-house tasks, taking orders, handling transactions, and ensuring order accuracy.

What We’re Looking For

• Flexible & Versatile – Must be willing to work both ODM and Tiff’s Treater shifts as needed throughout the week/weekend.
• Leadership Experience – A minimum of 6 months of leadership and/or management experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability for Peak Business Days – Must be available to work on our busiest days of the year, including Bosses’ Day, Admin Pro Day, and Valentine’s Day ("All Hands on Deck" days).
• Clean Driving Record & Valid License – A current, valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
• Proof of Auto Insurance – Must have current car insurance, with the driver’s name listed as an authorized driver.
• Personal Vehicle for Deliveries – Must have access to a personal vehicle for deliveries (Drivers will receive additional compensation for using their own car).
• Safe & Responsible Driving – Must be able to safely operate a vehicle, follow all traffic laws, and maintain a clean and organized vehicle at all times.
• At this time, we do not allow deliveries via motorcycles, scooters, or bicycles.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift, carry, and grasp up to 50 lbs
• Constant standing and/or walking with limited breaks, often in and out of extreme heat, cold, rain, etc.
• Must be able to ascend/descend stairs while carrying up to 50 lbs
• Occasional stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, kneeling, etc. up to 50 lbs
