Job summary

HP IQ's Connectivity Software team invites an intern to contribute to on-device firmware and software across devices and platforms. You will write code in C, C++, or Python, participate in design reviews, and work with hardware and software engineers to translate requirements into robust solutions.

This is a 2027 internship program (May/June–August/September 2027). The compensation ranges from $40 to $50 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, disability

Qualifications

• Write efficient on-device firmware and system software in C/C++/Python for Wi‑Fi/Bluetooth.
• Design device-to-device discovery and pairing protocols.
• Optimize ML inference on resource-constrained devices.
• Debug across wireless stack, OS integration, and application-level code.

Responsibilities

• Develop on-device firmware and system software for connected devices.
• Enhance software supporting wireless connectivity across devices.
• Explore sensing and AI techniques to solve technical challenges.
• Debug and resolve issues spanning the wireless stack and application code.
• Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to translate requirements into solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions, contributing to technical direction.
• Contribute to testing, validation, and documentation of connectivity features.
