Job summary

Agape Childcare Staffing provides substitute teachers to preschools and day schools when regular staff are unavailable. You may be a Lead Teacher, independently managing a classroom, or an Assistant Teacher, supporting the lead. Your role will be communicated before each shift.

Starting pay is $18/hour with potential to earn up to $20/hour through consistent attendance and strong performance. Work is W-2, paid biweekly, with flexible on-demand assignments and no guaranteed hours.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with children in a preschool, daycare, or classroom setting.
• Reliable, full-day availability on committed weekday(s).
• Ability to adapt to different classrooms and age groups.
• Able to complete required background and reference checks.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a classroom when assigned as a Lead Teacher, following lesson plans and routines.
• Assist the Lead Teacher with activities, transitions, and supervision as an Assistant Teacher.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment.
• Follow classroom procedures and required child-to-teacher ratios.
• Communicate professionally with school staff and Agape Childcare Staffing.
