Job summary

Agape Childcare Staffing seeks qualified childcare professionals to support preschools and day schools as Lead or Assistant Teachers. You will independently manage classrooms when assigned and assist with activities, transitions, and supervision.

We offer flexible, on-demand weekday assignments with guaranteed biweekly pay for a W-2 employee. Starting pay is $18/hour, with opportunities to earn up to $20/hour based on attendance, reliability, and performance. Hours vary by client need.

Qualifications

• Experience with children in preschool/daycare/classroom settings.
• Reliable, full-day availability on your committed weekday(s).
• Ability to adapt to different classrooms, age groups, and school environments, sometimes on short notice.
• Ability to successfully complete required background and reference checks.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Ability to actively supervise children and lift up to 30 lbs when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment.

About the Role

Agape Childcare Staffing provides substitute teachers to preschools and day schools when their regular staff members are unavailable.

Depending on the school's needs, you may be assigned as a Lead Teacher, independently managing a classroom, or as a Assistant Teacher, supporting the classroom's lead teacher. Your assigned role will always be communicated before your shift.

Availability

• Preferred: Open availability Monday–Friday (any weekday), for full-day shifts.
• Minimum Availability: At least 1–2 weekdays per week with full-day availability.
• On-Demand Assignments: Accept assignments that fit your schedule and availability.
• Assignments may vary weekly based on school needs. Consistent availability is highly preferred.

Pay & Schedule

• Starting Pay: $18/hour, with opportunities to earn up to $20/hour over time based on consistent attendance, reliability, and strong performance.
• W-2 employee classification.
• Paid biweekly.
• Flexible, on-demand weekday assignments.
• Hours are not guaranteed and depend on client staffing needs.
