Job summary

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree, 3+ years of experience, U.S. citizenship, fluency in English, and relevant AFC/CFP/ChFC certifications.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
3+ years of financial counseling experience.
U.S. citizen and fluent in English.
If required by contract, bilingual in English and Spanish.
Must be able to obtain a favorable Tier 2 background investigation.
Must pass the OCI disclosures process.
AFC, CFP, or ChFC certifications are required.

Responsibilities

Provides personal financial counseling and management services to service members and their families.
Assists with creating spending plans for extended absences.
Develops informational financial materials for service members and families.
Coordinates and delivers Personal Financial Management classes/workshops.
Uses virtual counseling or secure online communications as needed.
Complies with DoD and DoDI 1322.34 guidelines.
Participates in supervision and training activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
