All about On Demand: You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand TM. Your schedule varies based on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those seeking a flexible work schedule. As an On-Demand TM, you will create your own schedule by picking up shifts via our myTime mobile app. Regular attendance and active engagement are required, including responding to contact attempts and working at least one shift every 4 months (or 5 months starting December 2024). Failure to do so may result in employment termination.

Upon being offered the position, attendance at a Target Welcome orientation and participation in a short-term training schedule are required. The myTime app is used to select shifts.

Guest Advocates welcome, thank, and exceed guest expectations by focusing on interaction and recovery. They promote store capabilities and features to drive guest loyalty, and make shopping quick and easy at various points in the store.

The role helps develop skills such as communication, problem-solving, adaptability, and promoting store benefits and services.

Typical Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize guest service by delivering the service standard
  • Create a welcoming environment by greeting guests
  • Observe and assist guests proactively
  • Engage with guests to understand their needs
  • Be knowledgeable about products, services, and store tools
  • Thank guests and inform them about current store offers and loyalty programs
  • Efficiently scan, bag, and handle transactions
  • Minimize wait times while maintaining service quality
  • Support order pick-up, drive-up, and registry services
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow safety, conduct, and compliance policies
  • Support cash handling and other store operations as needed
Qualifications and Skills:

Ideal candidates enjoy working in energetic environments, excel in guest interactions, and are flexible with schedules. Skills include effective communication, focus, attention to detail, and the ability to operate technology and work independently or as part of a team.

  • Handle cash and merchandise safely and accurately
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Remain mobile for scheduled shifts
