ALL ABOUT ON DEMAND

You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand TM, with a flexible schedule based on store needs and shift availability. This role is ideal for those seeking a personalized work schedule.

As an On-Demand TM, you will not be scheduled in advance but can create your own schedule by picking up shifts via our myTime mobile scheduling app. Your active engagement in picking up and working shifts, as well as responding to contact attempts, is required.

Regular attendance is necessary, with a minimum of one shift every 4 weeks (or 5 months starting December 2024). Failure to meet this requirement may result in employment termination.

Participation in a Target orientation and training schedule is mandatory. Afterward, shifts can be selected through the myTime app.

ALL ABOUT SERVICE & ENGAGEMENT

Guest Advocates focus on delivering exceptional guest service, exceeding expectations, and promoting store offerings and digital solutions to foster guest loyalty.

This role helps develop skills in communication, problem-solving, guest interaction, and promoting Target services.

Typical Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent guest service by greeting, assisting, and thanking guests
• Understand guest needs through body language and interaction
• Be knowledgeable about store products, services, and digital features
• Efficiently scan, bag, and process transactions
• Minimize wait times while maintaining accuracy
• Promote Target Loyalty programs and digital tools like Wallet and the Target App
• Handle returns, de-escalate issues, and support order pickup and drive-up services
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Support cash handling and other store operations as needed

Qualifications and Skills

• Enjoy working in a fast-paced, energetic environment
• Excellent communication and guest interaction skills
• Ability to remain focused, organized, and detail-oriented
• Willingness to learn about products and services
• Comfortable operating technology and handheld devices
• Able to work independently and as part of a team

Additional Requirements

• Accurate cash handling and support for cash office operations
• Ability to lift merchandise up to 44 pounds with or without assistance
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Active engagement in shift pickup and response to contact attempts
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments
