Job summary

University of Pittsburgh seeks a Temporary Truck Driver for our Logistics team. Responsibilities include picking up and delivering mail and packages on the Oakland campus and other campuses. The role requires driving on- and off-campus and navigating the greater Pittsburgh area, with potential overtime.

Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED and a PA driver’s license. Two years of truck driving experience with 18-ft+ truck and CDL Class B (air brakes/Hazmat) preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License.
• Two years of truck driving experience with a truck of at least 18 ft.
• CDL Class B with air brakes and Hazmat endorsement ("H") preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver mail, packages, goods on the Oakland campus and Branch Campuses and other off-campus areas.
• Drive on-campus and off-campus as required; be familiar with the greater Pittsburgh area.
• Pass mandatory DOT drug and alcohol screening and maintain a satisfactory DMV record.
