Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing seeks highly motivated applicants for the Hiker (Vehicle Transporter/Truck Driver) role in Philadelphia, PA. This part-time, on-call position delivers and returns Penske vehicles to locations and customers, moving box trucks up to 26 feet and, for CDL Class A, tractors and trailers.

The role may support the service department with parts delivery and other tasks as needed. Qualified candidates have 2 years of driving experience and a clean DMV record, with valid Class B CDL;

Qualifications

• 2 years of driving experience
• 2 years of a clean DMV motor vehicle record
• Valid Class B CDL required; Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S.
• CDL Class A license preferred
• Ability to read and follow written instructions
• Customer service, organizational skills, and a positive attitude
• English language proficiency required by federal law
• Regular, predictable, full attendance

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures while driving trucks to Penske locations or customer sites
• Check vehicles to ensure safety and equipment; report issues
• Obtain receipts or signatures and collect payment when required
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, or damage to the vehicle
• Complete other tasks as assigned by supervisor
