Job summary

Mission Pet Health is seeking a Student Advocate to bridge our network with veterinary students. You’ll build relationships, promote career opportunities, and connect peers with externships and openings across our hospital network.

Ideal candidates are current 1st–3rd year veterinary students active in school clubs, who can organize campus events, share opportunities, support social media, and gain valuable clinical exposure within the first year.

Qualifications

• Current 1st, 2nd, or 3rd-year veterinary student status.
• Active engagement within your school community and veterinary student clubs.
• You must not be employed by another veterinary group as a student representative.

Responsibilities

• Be a Key Liaison between Mission Pet Health and your university's students, faculty, and student organizations.
• Champion Student Engagement by promoting awareness and participation in DVM student programs through networking, email outreach, and attending student meetings.
• Organize Campus Events, hosting at least one engagement event per semester with logistics from scheduling to catering.
• Share Clinical Opportunities with peers about externships, job openings, and career paths within the Mission Pet Health network.
• Gather Campus Insights and keep the team informed about job fairs and campus events.
• Gain Clinical Experience by completing at least one clinical rotation at a Mission Pet Health hospital within the first year.
• Support Social Media by providing monthly content such as photos or stories.

Your Impact as a Student Advocate

As a Student Advocate, you'll be a vital connector between Mission Pet Health and your school. You'll build relationships, promote career opportunities, and strengthen our connection with students, faculty, and clubs. • Be a Key Liaison: You will serve as the primary link between Mission Pet Health and your university's students, faculty, and student organizations.

• Organize Campus Events: You will host at least one engagement event per semester, such as a lunch & learn or meet-and-greet, managing all logistics from scheduling to catering.
• Share Clinical Opportunities: You'll share information with your peers about externships, job openings, and career paths within the Mission Pet Health network.
• Gather Campus Insights: You'll keep our team informed about job fairs and other campus events, assist with visits from our teammates, and help promote our presence at your school.
• Gain Clinical Experience: You will complete at least one clinical rotation at a Mission Pet Health hospital within your first year as an Advocate.
• Support Social Media: You'll help our social media efforts by providing monthly content, such as photos or stories about your experiences and student events.
