Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College in Indiana seeks RN tutors to support ASN and PN students and graduates preparing for NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN. Tutors will work on campus, offering both individual and group sessions, in person or virtually, to improve pass rates and student confidence.

Responsibilities include modeling respect for diverse learners, clarifying content, and submitting weekly activity reports. The role reports to the Nursing Dean and requires an Associate degree in Nursing, RN licensure

Qualifications

• RN tutor role requires working with ASN/PN students.
• Strong ability to explain nursing concepts clearly.
• Experience supporting pass-rate improvement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group tutoring for PN and ASN students and graduates.
• Create a professional, welcoming environment respectful of diverse backgrounds.
• Clarify course content and diagnose student needs through questioning.
• Monitor progress and report weekly on services provided.
• Report student progress to the Nursing Dean or designee.
