Job summary
Ivy Tech Community College in Indianapolis, IN is hiring an on-site Nursing Simulation Lab Support role, paid hourly. The position assists nursing faculty with simulation labs, manages equipment, and supports student success initiatives including academic advising and tutoring as needed. The role also includes coordinating lab use, maintaining supplies, and helping with special events.
Minimum requirements include an active Paramedic or LPN license. Preferred RN license.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Paramedic or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
- Ability to use computer hardware, software, and simulation technology.
- Ability to effectively operate and maintain simulation equipment and related technology.
Responsibilities
- Assist nursing faculty and external stakeholders with maintaining and running the nursing simulation lab.
- Assist with student success initiatives including simulation, assessment, academic advising, and tutoring when needed.
- Set up and tear down simulation and laboratory experiences.
- Maintain simulation equipment and laboratories to support instructional programs.
- Coordinate and schedule the use of simulation and skills laboratories for simulations, skills labs, open labs, student projects, and other approved activities.
- Ensure the proper maintenance and functioning of simulation mannequins and other simulation equipment.
